Grumpy & Happy Snorkeling is all about a private quality service for snorkelers. We offer a unique experience that cannot be matched if you are on a crowded boat. We visit many sites.
Hol Chan Marine Park and Shark Ray Alley are the most popular snorkel sites. Because they are so popular we try to schedule around the busy periods. Less people in the water means more fun and more fish for you to look at.
The fish in the Park have no fear of you because they are fed by the guides. Close encounters are normal and offer a special experience. You may see sharks, rays, eels, groupers, barracudas and much more. For those that wish to avoid a busy site we offer trips to Mexico Rocks, farther up the coast, or we can just cruise the reef and look for interesting places to drop anchor and see what we can find. Here is how it works for you;

San Pedro is 25 miles from where the ships anchor. So you need to catch a small plane over to San Pedro. Once you book with us we will send you a copy of the tickets over the email.
Once your ship is anchored in the Belize City Harbor the tender will bring you to shore. A 5 minute taxi ride from the landing takes you to Belize City Municipal Airport. There you will board a 15 passenger Cessna at Tropic Airlines and fly 15 minutes to San Pedro. The planes land right in downtown San Pedro. These are very comfortable and safe planes and you will enjoy the scenic flight. We meet you at the airport and take you to the boat. We will have any gear you need with us.
We go on the trip from there. The boat ride is only about 15 minutes.
Once the trip is done we bring you back to the same pier where we picked you up. It is in front of a high quality restaurant , The Blue Water Grill ( click here and new widow will open).

This restaurant is located directly across the street from the airport.
We generally leave you there to enjoy a lunch or to check out the gift shops nearby.
This is not a big town and you can walk anywhere in minutes.
In the past everyone has made the 9:30 am flight over to San Pedro and 2:00 PM or 3 PM flight back.

Pricing for cruise ship passengers
Our fee for this private experience is $136US per person. This includes your round trip flight, 2 snorkel stops, park fees, taxes and rental gear if needed. The fee for certified scuba divers would be $185US per person which includes airfare, 1 dive, 1 snorkel stop,park fee, equipment and taxes.
-Snorkel gear if you need it is $7.00 US
Drinks are included. Bring a camera suitable for snorkeling!
-Park Fees at Hol Chan Marine Park are $10.00 US each.
